Many thanks to all those who helped GCH Moonshadow “You’re a Da’Minion in the Ruff “(Aladdin) on his way to the grand championship he won Sunday, June 4th in North Carolina. That he was not yet 11 months old is a testament to superb presentation by Nick Grubb and @Chelsay Paul-Grubb, to his breeding, and of course to the dog himself, a lovable, cheery, young upstart.

Thanks to Judge Cheryl Patterson for his Best of Opposite  (OS) in the Ravenna Kennel Club show, Judge Richard Albee for his OS at the Ravenna show day 2.  Thanks to Judge Cindy Meyer for his Select Dog (SEL) at the Magic Valley Kennel Club Show and to Judge John Wade for his SEL the same day; thank you Judges Michael Lanctot and Nathaniel Horn for awarding him Select Dog at the Biennerhasset dog shows, and thanks also to Judge Elizabeth Muthard for his BOS at the Asheville KC show.  Thanks Judge Cindy Meyer for his BOS at the Hendersonville KC Show and the following day Judge Elaine Lessig also awarded him BOS at the Spartanburg KC show. Thanks Judge Ann Felske-Jackman for SEL at the Greater Hickory KC show and the following day, putting the icing on the cake, Judge Chris A. Levy gave him his final three points as SEL at the Salisbury KC show, in a strong field of gorgeous B.O.V. poodles.  Aladdin aka Minion couldn’t have done it without travelling a lot of miles over the past 2 months with his best friend and handler, Nick Grubb.

What I learned in the process of showing two of my poodles could fill a book. More on that later. First, Minion gets his old name back and a haircut, and is allowed, once again, to frolic in the garden, be stroked by every kid who hugs him, get wet on a rainy day, and see his beloved family.
